Nick and Lindsey officially tied the knot in mid September on the sandy beaches of Florida, but they wanted to have a party with all their family and friends back in KC to celebrate their marriage. That’s where I came in and what a party it was! Good people, good music, good food, fantastic dance moves and lots of catching up was going on and I was honored to document their special, laid-back and care-free evening at Deer Creek Country Club. While I don’t know Nick and Lindsey all that well, I can tell how incredibly beautiful these two people are (and I’m not just talking about their good looks). They are the people that you meet and think these are people I could be friends with. And it’s not only through the interactions I’ve personally had with them to know this, but by hearing the conversations and meeting those that are near and dear to them in the room that night. They are definitely adored and loved and deserve each-others hearts. I wish many happy memories and moments on your life-long journey together. Congratulations.
Rhea and Lee have tied the knot on what couldn’t have been a more perfect September day. When you first open this post, you may be confused to see running pictures and think that I must have accidentally posted these here, but nope, no accident here. Lee wanted to start off his wedding day as any true runner does, running a local race with a few of his groomsmen to burn off those extra nerves. This is essentially how Lee and I met, through our running and Hallmark roots. Lee didn’t just get up and do a casual run, no, he won the race with a speedy time of 17:49.1, warding off all the small children who were running to benefit their elementary school. It wasn’t for long that it was time to document all the ladies getting prettied up and see Rhea beaming in her gorgeous, white dress. The ceremony took place on the patio of Californos in Westport and was officiated by Reverend, Clay Cook, who gave a very lovely service. There was no doubt that this couple was ready to walk down that aisle and have some fun! Laid back, relaxed and a down-right good time is just what this wedding was all about and I had a blast, documenting their day in it’s entirety! Congratulations, you two! Rhea, you looked stunning!
How beautiful and happy is this little lady?! I got so many great shots and expressions of Emery, it was hard to decide which ones to highlight on the blog, but that came as no surprise with the good-looking and friendly genes from both her parents. She rocked her adorable pink and white seersucker dress and pink fancy shoes, as we moved about her yard and over to her favorite playground. This Labor Day weekend session, captured her as a one/soon to be two-year-old. Her big and also equally adorable sister, Jenna, graciously helped me throughout the session to get Emery to look at the camera, smile and laugh. I think she did her job! Both Emery and Jenna, who also makes an appearance in a picture or two, are undeniably and unintentionally gonna break some hearts with those blue eyes and golden locks.
I had the pleasure to photograph the Moore family before all the traveling kicked in for the month of September and they have been patiently waiting to see what we captured that warm and muggy Sunday morning. This was my first time meeting this family and as soon as I walked in the door, I knew my camera would capture baby Wyatt’s big blue eyes and smiles with ease. Wyatt is such a cutie pie whether he’s rockin’ his button down shirt, his dad’s tie or his birthday suit. The family dog even got in on the action and watched and waited patiently for a picture or too. With two K-State parents, I’m guessing this little man may be a wildcat fan. Thanks for the opportunity you guys!
