Culture Xplorers, Broadway Roasting Company and the Executive Chef at The Farmhouse, teamed up for a sold-out event, exposing the culture, food, drinks, music and traditions of Peru. Held at Broadway Roasting Company on August 24th at 6pm, the owner of Culture Xplorers, Jim Kane, gave a “Scratch-the-surface” presentation on what it’s like to travel to Peru and be fully immersed with their culture. Be sure to check out this website to learn more about how you can travel to Peru and many other destinations, where you will have a very enriching experience. Alpacas even came to the event, where both children and adults were amused by their goofy smiles and sweet nature. Even if you weren’t able to make it to this event, you can still get a taste of Peru by visiting Broadway Roasting Company to get a bag of their collaboration coffee blend, where a portion of the proceeds go back to the people of Peru. It was the second annual KC Pumpkin Patch event for the Turner, Wear and Associates Team with Ameriprise that I documented and it was just as fun as the first, seeing all the kids run around excited about cider donuts, pumpkins and the numerous activities the patch had to offer. What a great way to burn off all that energy kids tend to have and for the whole family to soak in a perfect fall day together. Another successful year and some new faces and returning faces! Thanks again for the opportunity, Cathy, Brandon and Scott!
It was a family, fall-festival kinda day, put on by a team at Ameriprise Financial and I was there to photograph all the kiddos and families enjoying all there was to offer at KC Pumpkin Patch in Gardner, KS (including those apple donuts!) The day prior was chilly and windy, so we were lucky to have one of those warm, fall days we’ve been so fortunate to experience a handful of times already. I met some fun and spunky little ones and even managed to squeeze in a family photo here and there as they were excitedly buzzing around to find that perfect pumpkin or that next activity they wanted to be apart of. It was another successful day, even if I had one to many handfuls of kettle corn and one too many apple donuts.
Here are some pics I snapped at the Summer White Party hosted by Nelson-Atkins Young Friends of Art last Friday eve. The white Bloch building complimented everyone’s outfits so very nicely. It was good times meeting some new, friendly people and fun reconnecting with friends and familiar faces, despite the exceptionally warm temp. Check out these ridiculously beautiful people who struck a pose for me!
